1) Do I have to be in shape to do CrossFit?

This is the most FAQ and the answer is absolutely not. We have all ages and ability levels at our gym and we make sure to modify workouts to ramp you up to get in the best shape of your life. All movements we do are scaleable or modifiable. Can’t do a pull-up? No problem we will have your do ring rows or banded pull-ups until you develop the strength to do pull-ups.

2) What is On-Ramp?

On ramp is an introductory course that will expose you to some of the movements we do, explain the why behind our program, and demystify nutrition. There are 3 sessions where you will meet one-on-one with a coach. These sessions will teach you all you need to know about doing CrossFit at CFTP.

3) Who has to do On-Ramp?

Anyone who is new to CrossFit has to take On Ramp. We strive to make CrossFit done safely and part of that is introducing the movements and drilling the technique. This is very coach intensive, so if you have never done these movements we will show you how.

4) What do the On-Ramp classes consistent of?

We will coach you through a warmup, go over 3 movements frequently used in CrossFit, and then we do a workout based with those movements. This can all be done at your own pace and the coach will walk you through scaling movements.

5) What if I have an injury?

We are sorry to hear that but not a problem. The beauty of CrossFit is that it can be adjusted, scaled, or modified to fit anyone’s needs. In Elements we can come up with a plan on how to accommodate any injuries.

6) I've heard that CrossFit Is dangerous, is it?

Anything done incorrectly can be dangerous. By going through Elements, you are learning the correct way to move and approach workouts. Once in classes you are under the watchful eye of a coach whose sole purpose is to push you outside your comfort zone while maintaining a safe environment. CrossFit done correctly is not dangerous.
